Support Groups
Memorial Hospital believes that support groups provide an opportunity for patients, along with their families and friends to discuss uncertainties and learn to place them in perspective. Better than any other technique, talking in a support group with people who share common problems, helps them understand that they are not alone.
Alzheimer's Support Group

Diabetic Support Group
A mutual support group comprised of people with diabetes, their families and people who have had their lives affected by diabetes. Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of every month from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the hospital auditorium. Call (618) 257-5861 for more information.
Fibromyalgia Support Group
Third Tuesday of Month at 7 p.m.

Hope Blooms
A community based breast cancer support group, Hope Blooms offers an opportunity for women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer to express their physical and emotional needs with others who have had similar experiences. Hope Blooms meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 pm at Memorial Health Education Center, 706 East Highway 50, O'Fallon. Call (618) 257-5936 for more information.
Lupus
This support group is affiliated with the Illinois and Missouri Chapters of the Lupus Foundation of America. Meetings are held offering information and insight for coping with lupus on the third Tuesday of every month (except June - August and December) at 7:00 p.m. in the hospital auditorium. Mended Hearts, Inc. - Belleville Chapter
Mended Hearts is a volunteer organization consisting of people who have heart disease, their families, medical professional and other interested people. Additionally, Mended Hearts members form a support group for one another, contributing emotional backing to recovering patients and their families. Meets third Monday of the month.

Nu-Voice
Conducted in cooperation with American Cancer Society, the Nu-Voice Club is for laryngectomees - peoples who have had their voice boxes (larynxes) removed. Family members and friends are encouraged to attend.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation
A group for people with diseases of the lung and their families. Participants learn about their disease and share ideas and solutions to their problems.
