MEMORIAL CONVALESCENT CENTER
EARNS FIVE-STAR RATING
(Belleville, Illinois) Memorial Convalescent Center, owned and operated by Memorial Hospital has earned a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Memorial Convalescent Center was one of only four nursing homes out of 49 in the area to receive the five-star rating and in the top 10% of nursing homes earn five stars.
CMS established this nationwide system to provide consumers with information about various facets of nursing home care. The overall quality rating on the Nursing Home Compare web site (www.medicare.gov) is based on its ranking in three categories – health inspections, quality measures and staffing.
“We are very proud of Memorial Convalescent Center’s leadership and staff for achieving this rating,” said Nancy Weston, RN, vice president of nursing services at Memorial.
Licensed and certified by the Illinois Department of Public Health, Memorial Convalescent Center is a 108-bed facility offering quality skilled nursing and rehabilitative services in a clean, comfortable and attractive atmosphere. The Center’s staff strives to assist each patient in maintaining self-respect and dignity while providing needed professional services. Located adjacent to Memorial Hospital makes the comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services of a modern medical center readily available to the Center’s residents.
