Memorial Hospital Awards Employees for Perfect Attendance
(Belleville, Illinois) Memorial Hospital uses a Perfect Attendance Award Program to honor employees for consistently reporting to work on their scheduled days and their appointed shifts. All full and part-time employees, excluding members of management, are eligible to participate.
Memorial employees are recognized for perfect attendance each quarter as well as annually. The largest prize awarded is $5,000, given to one employee chosen by random drawing who has had two or more consecutive years of perfect attendance. This year, 109 employees were eligible and Cheryl Graf, information systems analyst of O’Fallon was awarded the grand prize.
In addition to this award, Memorial awards five employees for one year of perfect attendance with a $1,000 cash prize. This year, 169 employees were eligible and the five winners were: Sandy Patrick, lactation consultant of Waterloo; Vickie Beisiegel, unit secretary of Freeburg; Patricia Biabas, physical therapist of St. Louis; Barbara Hays, clerk phlebotomist of Belleville and Tracy Lugge, patient scheduler of Belleville.
Annually, all employees who are eligible at any level receive a $50 Schnucks gift card. Employees are also recognized for quarterly perfect attendance, where 20 winners receive $100.
Criteria for the program include no unscheduled absences and no unexcused absences for the specified time period. Employees are eligible at the beginning of the quarter following completion of the 90-day probationary period after an employee is hired. Employees receiving disciplinary action or progressive counseling are disqualified from the program until the next quarter.
