Dr. Dwight O’Dell is First in Area to Adopt
Elevate® Prolapse Repair System for Pelvic Organ Prolapse in Women

(Belleville, IL) Dr. Dwight O’Dell, an OB/GYN and a member of Memorial Hospital’s medical staff in Belleville, is the first in the St. Louis Area offering women the new Elevate® prolapse repair system, a minimally invasive procedure that helps to restore female anatomy to its normal position with a single incision.

Prolapse is a condition that affects over 34 million women worldwide. It occurs when muscles and ligaments have been weakened due to childbirth, previous surgery, hysterectomy, obesity, age, ethnicity, genetics or repetitive strain in the pelvic area. As a result, women may feel a bulge, a sense of heaviness or a sensation that something has “fallen” in the pelvic area. Elevate® allows for a minimally invasive and comprehensive solution to treat these defects.
