Dr. Dothager to Speak at A.W.A.K.E. Support Group for
People Affected by Sleep Apnea
(BELLEVILLE, IL) Dr. Douglas Dothager, a member of Memorial Hospital’s medical staff will present a program at the A.W.A.K.E. (Alert, Well and Keeping Energetic) Network support group for people affected by sleep apnea on Thursday, February 25, at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held in Memorial’s auditorium and is presented by Lincare and Care Medical and Memorial Hospital Sleep Disorders Center.
Dr. Dothager will discuss the cardiovascular effects of obstructive sleep apnea, conduct CPAP pressure checks and perform mask fittings. (If you would like a fitting, please bring your own mask.) Spouses, partners and friends of those affected by sleep apnea are welcome to attend. Refreshments and attendance prizes will be awarded.
The ASAA A.W.A.K.E. Network is composed of hundreds of mutual-help support groups in nearly all fifty states for people affected by sleep apnea. The Network, founded in 1988, is an integral part of the American Sleep Apnea Association (ASAA) and since 1990, the two have been partners in assisting patients, their families, and the healthcare community concerned with sleep apnea.
