Memorial Hospital Receives
ACR Accreditation in Computed Tomography
(BELLEVILLE, IL) Memorial Hospital has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in computed tomography (CT) as a result of a recent survey by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
“Through this achievement, we have successfully demonstrated clinical excellence in adult and pediatric CT exams,” said Pat Murphy, director of CT/MRI services at Memorial.
The ACR awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of the practice. Evaluations are conducted by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. They assess the qualifications of staff and the adequacy of facility equipment.
In addition to being accredited in CT, Memorial is ACR accredited in mammography, breast ultrasound, ultrasound breast biopsies, MRI, and diagnostic ultrasound.
Memorial Hospital offers state-of-the-art inpatient and outpatient diagnostic imaging services including CT scanning, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), diagnostic x-ray, breast health center, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine, including SPECT (single photon emission computed tomography). For more information on Memorial’s diagnostic imaging services, contact Pam Holbrook, director of diagnostic services at 618-257-5017
